Drive to Beaudesert; take the Mt Lindesay Highway to, and 11 Km beyond Rathdowney.
Turn right at the Mt Barney Road turn off and drive about 4 Km keeping left at a fork and later turn left into Harper Road.
Via Woodenbong NSW:
Drive to Woodenbong; take the Mt Lindesay Highway for 14.5 Km.
Turn sharp left at the Mt Barney Road turn off and drive about 4 Km keeping left at a fork and later turn left into Harper Road. Thistledown Country Retreat is sign posted.
Via Boonah:
Drive to Boonah and take the road to Rathdowney. Drive south for 39 km, past the Maroon Education Centre and through Maroon Village, along a gravel road just, and, about 10 minutes further, just over the Logan River, turn right onto Upper Logan Road.
Turn onto the Upper Logan Rd, drive for approx. 3.2 km to a fork and stay on the road to the right and drive to a 'T' junction 900 m further on. Turn left and proceed to the top of a rise where there is a T-junction with Mt Barney Rd to your left.
Turn left into Mt Barney Rd and drive along through some "dog legs", past a church and cemetery and the first turn to the right is a gravel road named Harper Road. Thistledown Country Retreat is signposted.
From the Harper Road Turn Off: Drive along Harper Road for 500m, and having crossed a small bridge and driven to the top of a hill, the road turns sharply to the left (Roseland is straight ahead at the red letter box). Drive through the black gates.
Time Needed: It is normally about an hour and three quarters run from Brisbane in light traffic.
